Travla Announced as Official Beer of Surfing Queensland

Surfing Queensland is pleased to announce Travla has been named the official beer of the organisation for 2023 and 2024. This announcement follows from a successful partnership at the 2023 Gold Coast Open, where Surfing Queensland and Travla activated a pop-up beach bar on Burleigh Hill, serving the low-carb lager to the community for the duration of the event.

As the official beer of Surfing Queensland, Travla will be involved in a range of events and initiatives throughout 2023 and 2024 to support Queensland surfers, including premier event the Surfing State of Origin, Queensland Surfing Championships, the inaugural Surfing Queensland Golf Day and more.

Surfing Queensland Chief Executive Officer, Adam Yates, said the two-year partnership comes at a particularly exciting time with many new events on the calendar.

“It’s a great fit for the organisation and we’re delighted to have Travla onboard as the official beer of Surfing Queensland,” said Yates. “We love what Travla are about, their brand ethos and of course, their low-carb lager. With many additional events on the calendar, there will be plenty of opportunities for Travla to engage and support the Queensland surfing community and beyond.”

Travla founder, Travis Fimmel,saidAustralia has the best backyard in the world and Travla is all about backing those who explore it and celebrate adventure.

“Being the official beer of Surfing Queensland was an easy choice and we can’t wait to put on some great events together over a few cold ones,” added Fimmel.

Surfing Queensland Partnership Manager, Jarrod Davis, said it’s an exciting partnership as both organisations share core values and love for the ocean.  

“It’s a great alignment with Travla, a brand that shares our values and our love of the ocean,” said Davis. “We believe this partnership will bring great benefits to both organisations, and we look forward to promoting the brand as well as the surfing and outdoor lifestyle we both represent.”

Queensland surfers and beer lovers alike, can look forward to enjoying a cold Travla at the pop-up beach bar at the Surfing State of Origin on Sunday 30 April, while watching some of the best surfers battle in Australian sport’s greatest rivalry at Burleigh Heads.

Surfing Queensland supports the responsible consumption of alcohol. No alcohol will be supplied, served, or encouraged to anyone under 18.
