By purchasing a State membership you are joining other like minded surfers from across our state, be eligible to enter sanctioned events and gain an official ranking.  You will be supporting the sport of surfing in our State, help protect our beaches and breaks, receive partner benefits and personal injury insurance while surfing.

– Eligibility to be selected for the Surfing Queensland Academy

Surfing Australia provides Personal Accident Insurance to paid members of state surfing organisations during the following activities:

– Official Training: Sessions managed by a qualified and accredited Surfing Australia coach and/or official.

– High-Performance Training: Activities supervised by qualified and accredited Surfing Australia coaches and/or officials, both on land and in the water, with a documented and adhered-to formal training plan.

– Practice: Exercises or performance of skills under the management of a qualified and accredited Surfing Australia coach and/or official.

* To be covered under Surfing Australia’s Personal Accident Insurance, individuals must also be permanent residents of Australia.
