SUNSHINE COAST, QUEENSLAND (Tuesday, 8 April 2025) – Day Five of Parko’s Junior Pro pres. by Campbell Construction Co ran in fun two-foot conditions at Ann St, Currimundi.
With more than 270 competitors, the six-day Parko’s Junior Pro pres. by Campbell Construction Co, provides an ideal platform for the nation’s best juniors to develop their competitive skills across a range of surf conditions.
Divisions range from the Under 12 Boys and Girls, all the way up to our elite Under 18 Boys and Girls.
With 10,000 points up for grabs, the groms battled it out in the Quarterfinals, concluding with the Under 12 Girls Semifinals, which saw the up-and-coming athletes surf head-to-head.
The morning featured a series of standout performances from the boys, highlighted by Mitchell Peterson, who scored an impressive 8.00 (out of a possible 10) on his best wave in the first Under 18 Boys heat of the day.
Jaya Suhendra claimed victory in both the Under 12 Boys Quarterfinals held in the morning and the Semifinals later in the day. After claiming victory at last year’s Parko’s Junior Pro, he’s now aiming to go back-to-back.
Under 16 Girls competitor Miller-May Berg surfed a nail-biting heat against the fierce Lucy Darragh and Savannah Rielly. As Berg advances to the Semifinals, she’ll be aiming to back up her victory from last year’s inaugural event.
In the final heats of the day, Under 12 Girls competitors Everly Morgan and Luna Thomas claimed victories in their respective Semifinals and are now set to face off in tomorrow’s Finals Day.
With Joel “Parko” Parkinson arriving on-sight and celebrating his birthday on Finals Day, these elite athletes will be bringing their A-game across all divisions.
Finals Day of Parko’s Junior Pro pres. by Campbell Construction Co will see the event conclude with intense head-to-head heats, with the location set to be either Ann St or Moffat beach.
