Surfing Queensland Announces Official Partnership with We Are Feel Good Inc.

Published on 11/10/2022

Surfing Queensland is proud to announce We Are Feel Good Inc. as the official sunscreen partner for 2022/2023.

Surfing Queensland CEO Adam Yates said he couldn’t think of a more fitting partnership for the Sunshine State.

“We’re lucky to live in Queensland and enjoy sunshine almost all year-round but as surfers, we spend more time than most in the sun – using good products that offer both 50+ sun protection and water resistance is essential,” said Yates.

“It’s a well-suited partnership which also serves as a reminder to Queensland surfers of the importance of taking sun safety seriously and the damaging consequences that accompany spending time in the sun,

“I know our staff, event crew and athletes really appreciate the support from We Are Feel Good Inc. and understand the importance of protecting their skin from the harsh Queensland UV rays.”

Sadly, Queensland still holds the tagline of skin cancer capital of the world, a title we’ve held for several years. However, according to QLD Heath experts, this is a tag that we can shed if we improve our sun safety behaviours.

Jake Paterson, Ex-Professional Surfer and We Are Feel Good Inc. Co-Founder said he’s stoked to announce the partnership with Surfing Queensland.

“Surfing is a huge part of my life and the life of many Australians, making Surfing Queensland the perfect organisation to help us spread the importance of sun safety,” said Paterson.

“There is such a great synergy with us both encouraging people to make the most of the beaches and breaks found in our amazing country, while staying protected, in and out of the water.”
