We’re getting close to the Macro Mike Australian Open of Surfing Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast events…..

Published on 15/09/2021

It’s been a tough couple of years for competitive surfing, which is why we’re all looking forward to the Queensland leg of the Macro Mike Australian Open of Surfing.

Last year’s winners were Sophie McCulloch, Cooper Davies, Dimity Stoyle and Aaron Kelly.

But first, what is Macro Mike?

Macro Mike is more than just a clean eating brand. It’s a unique health food company fuelled by an enormous passion for all things natural and tasty.

Think protein bars, baking mixes, protein powder flavours, powdered peanut butter flavours and ready-to-eat snacks. Food that is 100% natural, GMO-free, with no refined sugars, artificial colours or flavours.

Want to taste their goods? Macro Mike will be handing out FREE samples at each event, so make sure to come down and check out the action.

Back to the surfing.

The Macro Mike Australian Open of Surfing is Queensland’s biggest event since the hugely successful Gold Coast Open earlier this year.

In fact a number of surfing superstars from the Gold Coast Open are ready to go for the upcoming Gold Coast (25-26 September) and Sunshine Coast (2-3 October) events, including:

Curtis Ewing (Gold Coast Open winner)

Gia Lorentson (current women’s QLD champion)

Taj Stokes (current men’s QLD champion)

Coco Cairns (current women’s QLD under 18 champion)

Remember, there are limited spots for the event, and they are filling up fast. Head to the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast event pages to get involved.

Entries close very soon.

Surfing Queensland would like to thank event partners Macro Mike, Major Events Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast Council, The Point Coolum Beach and QMS Media.
