GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND (SUNDAY, 22 JUNE 2025) – The final event of the 2025 Queensland Grommet Surfing Titles wrapped up today at Flat Rock, Tugun, in clean three-foot conditions, marking the official conclusion of this year’s Queensland Junior & Grommet Surfing Titles series.
Grom surfers from across the state battled it out for Queensland Titles and the opportunity to represent their state at the 2025 Australian Junior Surfing Titles, set to be held on the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia from 28 November – 5 December.
In the Under 14 Boys division, Morrison Massey put on a commanding performance to take out the event win. However, it was Brandon Davidson’s overall consistency throughout the series that earned him the title of Queensland Champion.
The Under 14 Girls division saw Navah Holmes continue her dominant form, winning both the opening and final events of the series to claim the Queensland Title in style.
The Under 12 Boys division was highlighted by Flynn Swierczewski, who also went back-to-back, securing victories at both events and rightfully earning the title of Queensland Champion.
In the Under 12 Girls division, Sage Fleming mirrored the achievements of her peers, taking out both events and being crowned Queensland Champion for 2025.
As a result of today’s competition, the top six surfers from both the Under 14 Boys and Under 14 Girls divisions have been selected to represent Queensland at the upcoming Australian Junior Surfing Titles later this year.
This weekend’s event at Flat Rock concluded the four-part Queensland Junior & Grommet Surfing Titles series, with results from both stops in each division combined to determine the overall champions and state team representatives.
