Surfing Queensland Launches ‘The Impact Zone’ Road Safety Campaign

Published on 04/09/2023

Surfing Queensland has launched ‘The Impact Zone’, a road safety education campaign supported by Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads.

As surfers, the last place we want to find ourselves in the surf is ‘The Impact Zone’. We hold the same regard about ‘The Impact Zone’ on Queensland roads.

‘The Impact Zone’ Road Safety Education Campaign targets ‘the fatal five’ driving behaviours – speeding, distraction, drink & drug driving, driver fatigue and seatbelt wearing.

We went for a different approach with these videos, mixing humour with a serious and important message to resonate with our young target market.

The five videos we will be released on social media over the next few months targeting young drivers and promoting safer alternatives, particularly in the South-East Queensland surfing community.

Watch the first ‘Speeding’ video below.
